My son is getting ready to graduate high school and he’s trying to decide if he should go to college. I think it would be a good experience and if he knew what he wanted to do it would be worth it. But he’s starting to think that unless he tries to get a degree in something like nursing or teaching that going to college may not be for him. I have heard lots of people say that college is a waste of time and money. There are many companies around me that are hiring and that pay well. As time goes by they increase your pay. The pay is comparable to what college graduates make. There’s a Minneapolis Pest Control company up the road that is hiring, and I hear they make good money without a lot of stress. I am not sure what I am going to do yet. I do want to put more thought into it. I have been thinking that if I get a degree, I would feel more accomplished, but I may feel like that with a promotion from an employer at a company that doesn’t require a degree. I think I’m going to take a break for a year and then make my decision as to what I am going to do about it.
