PS 366 Commandments (3 cr)
A study of the divine law as promulgated in the Decalogue. It examines each commandment and its implications in evaluating human behavior in order to attain happiness and self-realization.

PS 422 Spiritual Guidance I and II (4 cr)
This course deals with the aims, motives and qualities of counseling as well as the techniques of listening, understanding, dialoguing and guiding, which are essential for all counselors to possess and use correctly. It also describes the various
applications of counseling in accordance with the different character types, various life situations and needs. In this course, students are trained to be guides for women of all ages.

PS 432 Youth Ministry (2 cr)
This course gives the basic concepts of pastoral ministry with youth. Emphasis is placed on the most effective principles and methods used today in youth work, and practical guidelines for current situations and difficulties.

PS 434 Marriage and Family (2 cr)
This course gives the basic concepts of pastoral ministry with youth. Emphasis is placed on the most effective principles and methods used today in work with families, and practical guidelines for current situations and difficulties.

PS 442 Catechetical Methods (3 cr)
Students explore the nature, sources, content and method of Christian catechetics, and its relationship to various ages and groups of people.

PS 444 Capstone Seminar I and II (4 cr)
In this course students undertake supervised reference and research work on a topic of interest related to the field of religious and pastoral studies, and are expected to reflect upon and to engage in discussion upon a variety of topics related to their field of study.  They are required to submit a research proposal for approval, make a formal presentation of their research, lead a seminar discussion and submit a final research paper.  The use of primary sources and appropriate research techniques is emphasized.   Topics will vary from year to year depending on student interest.
